Project Overview

Located within Philadelphia’s iconic Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Curtain Call Café & Lounge was created to elevate the guest experience before performances, during intermission, and after the final applause.

Opened in 2025, the newly renovated café and cocktail lounge reflects Ensemble Arts Philly’s continued investment in creating memorable experiences throughout its venues. Operated by Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, the space offers a seamless transition from a daytime café to an evening cocktail lounge, providing visitors with a welcoming destination to gather throughout their visit.

Partnering with FIFTEEN Architecture + Design, MJ Settelen Construction transformed approximately 1,500 square feet into a refined hospitality environment featuring custom millwork by Boyertown Planing Mill, premium interior finishes, decorative lighting, and an expanded custom bar. Completed within one of Philadelphia’s premier performing arts venues, the renovation required detailed coordination, careful sequencing, and close collaboration to minimize disruption while maintaining ongoing operations.
