Inside the New Stateside Brands Philadelphia HQ

September 30, 2026 |

What happens when the team behind Stateside Vodka, Vodka Soda, Surfside and Super Lyte creates a new Philadelphia headquarters? You get a workplace with just as much personality as the brands themselves. MJ Settelen Construction recently completed the new Stateside Brands headquarters at 1100 Ludlow Street in Philadelphia, working alongside Blackney Hayes and ownerโ€™s representative TobinPeters Project Management to bring the company’s vision to life. Spanning 34,200 square feet across two floors, the new headquarters goes well beyond a traditional corporate office. Workplace, hospitality and entertainment spaces come together with custom details and brand moments that make the finished environment feel unmistakably Stateside.

Bringing the Brand Into the Built Environment

Stateside’s identity can be found throughout the headquarters, beginning with one of its most recognizable features: a custom curved bar inspired by a surfboard. Custom millwork, backlit Stateside signage and integrated product displays transform the bar into a focal point for employees and guests. Nearby, jumbotron-style screens feature Stateside, Surfside and Super Lyte content, creating a gathering area that feels more like a hospitality destination than a traditional office lounge. The brand continues overhead with colorful suspended surfboards and throughout the space with custom graphics, artwork, product displays and finishes inspired by Stateside’s family of brands.

These details were incorporated alongside the everyday needs of a growing company, including open work areas, private and executive offices, conference rooms, a large training room, phone rooms and employee amenities. The result is a headquarters that functions as a workplace while also giving employees, clients, partners and guests an opportunity to experience the Stateside brand firsthand.

A Philadelphia Brand With Philadelphia Personality

Some of the most memorable elements of the project celebrate Stateside’s connection to Philadelphia. A custom graffiti-lettered staircase by Philadelphia artist Glossblack turns a functional connection between floors into a major visual feature of the headquarters. The artwork brings another layer of color, personality and local character to the space while complementing the exposed concrete, open ceilings and industrial elements retained throughout the build-out.

Elsewhere, Surfside-inspired artwork and graphics, colorful surfboards, branded signage and product displays create moments of discovery throughout the office rather than concentrating the company’s identity in a single area. Even as the project evolved, the team continued finding opportunities to add to the employee experience, including incorporating a golf simulator into the completed headquarters.

Where Design and Construction Come Together

Bringing such a highly customized workplace to life required close coordination across the entire project team. Blackney Hayes developed a design that translated Stateside’s culture and visual identity into a functional workplace, while TobinPeters Project Management represented the owner throughout the process. MJ Settelen Construction served as General Contractor, coordinating the architectural, MEP, technology and specialty systems required to execute the design. From custom millwork and architectural glass to wood detailing, acoustical treatments, specialty lighting, LED installations and branded features, the project required attention to both the larger construction scope and the small details that give the headquarters its personality. The finished space demonstrates what can happen when the client’s brand, the design vision and construction execution are considered together from start to finish.

More Than an Office

The Stateside Brands headquarters is ultimately a workplace built around the people and personality behind the company. Employees have spaces to work, meet and collaborate, but they also have places to gather, entertain and connect. For visitors, the experience begins the moment they enter the office and continues through spaces that feel distinctly connected to Stateside, Surfside and Super Lyte.

For MJ Settelen Construction, it was a fun opportunity to help build a headquarters that doesn’t look or feel like every other office. We’re proud to have worked alongside Stateside Brands, Blackney Hayes, TobinPeters Project Management and the entire project team to bring this uniquely Philadelphia headquarters to life.
