Partner

Mark founded MJ Settelen in 2005 with the goal of offering a different kind of construction experience to clients. With innovation at the forefront and over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Mark serves as the visionary for MJ Settelen and directs its strategic initiatives as well as accountability for project management and field operations. A member of the prestigious Carpenter’s Company, Mark leads the team in serving our clients with passion and excellence in all MJ Settelen construction projects. Mark believes each project engagement is a new opportunity work alongside and guide our clients, real estate professionals, project architects and engineers to create spaces that they can be proud to put their name on.

And avid golfer, Mark enjoys playing rounds with family and friends, traveling and serving in his local church community.

Joanne Settelen

Managing Partner

Joanne serves as the managing partner and integrator to MJ Settelen Construction. Co-founding the company with her husband, Mark, Joanne is dedicated to building a company that embodies their values and exemplifies the close relationships they’ve built over the years with their team, valued clients and subcontractor base. Joanne’s 20+ years in the financial industry reflect her ability in leading operations and financial management for the company, and project performance for its clients. By supplying the framework parameters for project fiscal accountability, compliance and communication, Joanne facilitates MJ Settelen’s drive for project transparency and open communication throughout the construction process. Passionate about giving back to community, Joanne serves on several local non-profit advisory boards. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and is an avid organic gardener.
